St. Patrick's PS

Arranged across a split site off the congested Antrim Road in Belfast, the scheme was delivered in three phases and the school remained in occupation throughout. Phase one involved design, off-site fabrication and installation of 12 modular accommodation units, and accommodating siteworks on the site of the existing junior primary school, allowing decant of pupils from the senior primary school followed by its demolition.

The second phase saw construction of a state of the art, 21 class base primary school arranged across three storeys and extending to 4,500sqm. Finally, the third phase involved demolition of the existing junior primary school, removal of the modular accommodation units off site and instatement of car-parking, a MUGA pitch and soft-landscaping.

The scheme was delivered under NEC 3 Main Option A and achieved BREEAM ‘Excellent’ accreditation.
