One Elmwood for Queen's University Belfast
This ambitious scheme saw the redevelopment of Queen’s University Belfast’s storied, much loved Students’ Union building to provide a new focal point for the University’s extensive campus.
Located on the footprint of the original building, the new building extends to 11,000sqm and is arranged across four storeys – and is both dramatically different from and sensitive to the listed Lanyon building directly opposite its spectacular corner site. The building accommodates an iconic new Mandela Hall, bars, student support offices and spaces for clubs and societies.
